Last Saturday saw Lake Cowichan’s Peewee League Lakers 1 face off for a unique home exhibition game.

Last Saturday saw Lake Cowichan’s Peewee League Lakers 1 face off for a unique home exhibition game.

The Lakers’ – a coed team – played the all-female Island Select Peewee A team.

The first half of the game saw both teams on a fairly even keel, while the second half saw the Lakers dominate.

Leading the team by scoring three goals was Nelson Wagner and Nolan Fothergill.

Other players to net the puck included Devon Johel and Luke Weirsma.
