Stiffer penalties needed for animal cruelty

Re: Robert Barron’s column: “Yet another case of extreme animal cruelty”, (Citizen, Nov. 8)

To the citizens of Cowichan Valley and to the powers that be, get with the times. Such atrocities inflicted upon innocent animals needs to have stiffer consequences handed out. Everyone who hears about these poor animals should use their voices to demand action.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
