Light rapid transit more feasible than E&N railway

Just wondering why so much interest and money is being directed to the E&N railway. It should be obvious they have no intention or desire to put a train on, and who could blame them?

My understanding is that there is a “group” who would like to see it up and running? Who are they and what do they really want?

Just across the water in a sleepy little town there is a light rapid transit complete with all the knowledge and maybe some insight and supplies to assist in putting in something similar in Duncan. Everything needs an anchor and Duncan could provide one while assisting the people. A main station at the museum on Canada Avenue above the current rails with no charge to go to Walmart lot and higher location so as not to disturb E&N if they ever want to do anything. It would need to cross over Government Street with both ends fenced off, with possibility of someone extending not blocked off. Mayhaps our native people will see the advantage of extending out to their project or the people of Ladysmith may wish to extend it their way.
