Sue city over property taxes
I read with great interest the letter from Evan Begbie published in the Citizen’s letters section.
He has proven that I am not alone with the horrible property tax increase as my property taxes increased a whopping 33 per cent forcing me to take legal action.
Amalgamation is becoming more and more acceptable as it appears that we are dealing with a Duncan mayor and council and city staff who are bitten by the greed devil. All I ask is that other citizens who are duped into paying exorbitant taxes to unite and launch a class action lawsuit against the city. If not, we are at their mercy.
