Mocked in parking lot

Today, my patience was tested to the limit. Since all the handicap parking places were taken at the grocery store I chose one that gave me enough space to park without worrying about scratching another car.

I had to wait as a young woman was filling up her icebox with ice cubes and her beverages and had left her door wide open. Instead of moving over to the other side of her car and closing her door so I can park my car safely, she took her sweet time rearranging the ice cubes while telling me to find another spot! Her companion thought the situation very amusing; she took pictures of me and my car and the handicap parking decal I have in my window.

I had to slowly move into the spot to be out of the way of traffic behind me. I asked politely if she could just close her door, but no, her companion actually blocked me by leaving her cart right in front of my car!

They had a great time laughing at me the whole time, while I tapped on my decal to let them know why I wanted to park there. I ended up having to move the cart and just hope that they will never experience what they did to me. No respect or common sense, no apologies to an elder who is in pain. Shame on you!
