Alternate approval process underhanded for new firehall

The individual inaction of of the Cowichan Bay district ratepayer to oppose the new firehall tax funding cannot and should not be considered a vote for approval.

Since when do you need to vote to negate your vote? You don’t take votes. You start out with respect and go out and earn the required amount, (little harder eh!).

While I find comfort in having a local firehall and am grateful to all the volunteers, I think the approval method is shameful and underhanded (not my words).
