Important to make sacrifices now to get our lives back

My dear people,

Since March of this year, it’s been a very challenging time for everyone all over the world. We were hit with a virus that has changed all of our lives. Unfortunately, there are many out there who truly believe it’s a government conspiracy, the virus is fake, and they’re trying to control us with fear. These people believe the government is trying to take away our rights by enforcing restrictions and making masks mandatory.

The virus is real, it’s not going away any time soon and it is up to all of us to do the right thing. I have relatives in the States who contracted COVID. But thankfully they’re OK. To those who truly believe that this is hoax, I have an idea. Right now, the angels in the medical and health field have so much to deal with. They’re tired and they need help. There are a lot of sick and quarantined people out there who don’t have anyone to help them. If you truly believe this is all a joke, then why don’t you go to the places that are high in COVID and volunteer? Offer to do their grocery shopping, clean their homes, be a friend to them; help with cleaning up after them. For the ones who are on respirators and/or dying, be there for them, be there for their grieving families. If after this you haven’t contracted COVID or passed it on to your loved ones, be grateful.

I’ve heard people complain about how they can’t travel anywhere, they can’t have fun the way they used to. I get that. But what about the people who had to live and die through World War I and II, and the other wars that followed? What we’re dealing with right now is nothing compared to what they went through. Even to this day, there are wars going on in different parts of the world. So who are we to complain? Shamefully we’re spoiled and this has to stop.

Regarding the masks, this is not the end of the world. If you can’t wear a mask, there are always face shields. We have a responsibility to protect ourselves and everyone else in our lives. Bottom line, masks are mandatory indoors so deal with it. Don’t bully people who wear them or the hard working good employees who don’t make the rules. This is the way it is.

Besides if we’re going to wear masks, let’s have some fun with it. There are a lot of creative people out there. We could have contests for masks under different categories. Regarding the holidays, yes it’s not going to be the same. But if we get working at it now, we could have our holidays and loved ones for next year.

So how do we deal with now? Let’s start by doing the right thing. Next, why don’t we do something like the secret ninja and bring some joy into other people’s lives? Let’s think of safe ways to make the holidays a little happier for others? Remember my dears, this doesn’t have to be forever. If we all stick together and do the right thing, we will have our jobs, our businesses, and most importantly, our loved ones and our lives back.

Blessings to all of you.
