Alternative to metal and bamboo straws

Thank you for calling attention to the use of plastic straws and the waste that they create.

I was surprised that an article discussing the alternatives to plastic straws failed to mention glass as an alternative option. Glass straws are reusable, nearly indestructible, and easy to clean.

I was also surprised that there was no mention of a local, family run glass straw manufacturer. Enviro Glass Straws has been manufacturing straws in Cobble Hill for at least the last eight years. I own many of them and use them regularly with no issues.

I suggest checking into them for a local alternative to imported products.
