It is with deep sorrow that we announce the saddest day of our lives. Robin: Husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, best friend and mentor, has tragically left us to be with his higher power. Robin was the most unique and loving man we have ever known. Predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Rooke (Remple); left to mourn – his girlies: wife Michele (Mama); oldest daughter Olivia (OOEEAA); youngest daughter Sophie (Bear); Great Granny Hilda Rooke; father Norman Rooke (Papa); step-mother Marj Rooke; siblings Shawn, Shelly and Liza Rooke and his extended family of George, Beverly, Yvette, Yvonne and Paul deMontigny, Clarence Scholding and Al Parker, as well as far too many friends to count.

Robin left an impact on every single person he met. His goal in life was to be a good person, and to be as happy as he could be. Throughout his life he overcame so many obstacles and demons to become the man we knew and loved. His greatest joys in this world were his girls; he loved us more than life itself. There wasn’t a day that went by when we weren’t aware of it. Robin had many talents; an amazing business man, outstanding guitarist (his passion), artist, mechanic, intellect, leader, entertainer, comedian, and too many more to list. He loved travelling with his family but most of all he was the best daddy and husband in the world. Some of his favorite sayings:

• Thank you Lulu • Pull your head out of your ass

• I love you as big as a tree • One day at a time

• No Fish today

Robin loved to do anything LARGE – Go Big or Go Home.

He loved to go fast in the viper, his Harleys and his speedboat. He lived life big. Another passion was travelling with his family.

Robin, you will be forever in our hearts. We love you deeply.

His wishes were to celebrate with “No tears allowed”.

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, June 13th, 2010 at the Quw’utsun’ Cultural Centre in Duncan.

In lieu of flowers, help someone less fortunate, “Pay it Forward”.
