The Mckenna, Fales and Currie families are deeply saddened to announce Leigh’s passing.
Leigh waged her battle against cancer for five years before passing peacefully in her home in the company of her husband and children.
She accomplished her final goal by getting to meet her first grandchild when beautiful Ceci was born just one month ago to Sam and her husband Alex.
Family was everything to Leigh. She was devoted to husband John, daughter Samantha, and son Sean; fun aunt to Don, Ryan, Shane and Jori, and Gary her “favourite” brother-in-law. Leigh and her mom Kay have been inseparable for many years, often being “spotted at the casino!” Leigh was always an exemplary sister and best friend to Lorraine. All members of Leigh’s family will cherish their memories and will miss her forever and a day.
Leigh resided in Lake Cowichan a few years back and with husband John owned the Sunshine Gift Shop. Leigh joined the Lakeside Players with the intent of helping backstage but soon found her way to being “up front and centre.” Through the years Leigh made many friends at “the lake.”
A celebration of Leigh’s life will be held on
