After a long courageous battle with cancer, June Iris Medd, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at home in Port Renfrew on Sunday, September 24, 2006 with her family at her side. Survived by Stan Medd, her husband of 45 years; her four children Mike (Suzanne), Mark (Diane), Gordon (Jayme) and Sharon (Evan); her grandchildren Patricia, Cameron, Ty and Chad; and also her great grandson Charlie. June lived in Duncan, Penticton, Vancouver, Mesachie Lake and since 1986 in Port Renfrew.
A celebration service and reception honoring June will be held October 7, at 1:00pm, at the Port Renfrew Elementary School on Parkinson Road.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent on June’s behalf to the B.C. Cancer Agency at 2410 Lee Ave., Victoria, B.C. V8R 6V5. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for and supported June during her many years as a cancer survivor.
