Born May 16, 1945 in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. Passed away peacefully March 4, 2007 at his home in Lake Cowichan, BC with his loved ones by his side.
Since living in Lake Cowichan, John became very involved in the community like calling bingo at the senior centre, did some volunteer work at the Duncan Bingo Hall, helping families, friends and neighbours. John was always there to assist, whenever and wherever you needed him.
John will be sadly missed and is survived by his loving family, wife Luz; son John Halliday; daughter Cindy (Aron) Turner; two brothers Wilf and Allen; Aunt Gladys Lillie; and many cousins , nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by his father John and his mother Bessie.
John will be remembered for his years of dedication to the Lake Cowichan Elks, his endless love of antiques and anything unique.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Seniors Centre - 55 Coronation St.
