Passed away suddenly on Sept. 13, 2006 in Duncan hospital. Jean was born to Charles and Molly Sismey, Nov 9, 1923 in Summerland BC and lived in
Penticton, Keremeos, Rosland, Victoria and Lake Cowichan BC; Calgary AB and Hemer, Germany. She was predeceased by her parents, and brothers Bill and Howard but is survived by her brother Bud Sismey, sister-in-law May Sismey and numerous nieces and nephews. Joining them in mourning Jean’s passing are her very special ‘adopted family’ Michele Anderson and Ken Griffith; personal attendant Karen Belton; retired friends from the Bank of Montreal; and fellow executive and members of the Lake Cowichan Legion. Jean’s quick wit, generosity and positive attitude will be missed by all that loved and knew her. The Lake Cowichan Legion will host a memorial on Sun. Oct 8, 2006 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted by the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lake Cowichan Legion.
