James GOLDHAWKE

October 2, 2011

Passed away suddenly at Cowichan District Hospital on October 2, 2011. Born in Mont Nebo, Saskatchewan, June 18, 1928. A great loss and much grieved by his family and friends.

Lovingly remembered by his family; Helen, daughter Debra, grandsons Shayne and Braden, son Andrew and granddaughter Amber. Also survived by his brother Halford of Coos Bay, Oregon and sister Phyllis of Big River, Saskatchewan. Many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his son James and granddaughter Renae.

Jim was a long-time resident of Lake Cowichan since 1960. He worked as a millwright at Youbou mill until his retirement.

Thank you to Dr. Sanders and the staff at Cowichan District Hospital for all your care.

A special thank you to his friend Ken Witzaney for all you have done for ‘Pops’. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Lake Cowichan on Sunday, October 16 at 12:00 p.m.

Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired memorial remembrances may be made in the form of a donation to the charity of your choice.
