Bolton,
Inge Solveg Oels
June 19,1941- March 7, 2003
Inge passed away peacefully after a struggle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her children Bill (Raida), Shirley (Craig), Gerda (Jay) and Inge’s companion Dave Carr. Inge is also survived by her stepmother Gerda Anderson of Denmark, Ted Bolton and her brothers Erik (Bente) of Mayne Island, Otto (Marnie) of Vernon and Helge (Beth) Anderson of Maple Bay as well as her nieces and nephews. Bedstemor (Gramma) will be remembered fondly by her 6 grandchildren Blair, Jessie, Curtis, Nick, Hannah and Corrie. Born in Denmark in 1941, Inge came to Canada in 1957. Inge married and spent 10 years in Port Renfrew. The family moved to Lake Cowichan where she has lived for 32 years. She owned the Spinning Wheel in the Duncan Mall and then Fantasy Floral in Lake Cowichan where she touched everyone with her sweet smile, warm heart and professionalism. She was very talented and artistic as well as a perfectionist. There wasn’t a job she couldn’t tackle or a friend she wouldn’t help. Inge’s final year brought her to rest peacefully at the Cowichan Lodge. The family cannot thank enough the people that gave her tender loving care this last year.
A Celebration of life
will be held Friday March 14, 2003 at the
Lake Cowichan Upper Community Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Inge’s memory to the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society.
