Passed away peacefully in Ladner, B.C. Born in Wales in 1920, Betty was a 25 year resident of Lake Cowichan beginning in the late 1940s. Most of her working life through to retirement was spent as secretary of Lake Cowichan Jr./Sr. Secondary School where she was well known to students, especially those of you who, on frequent occasions, were required to meet with the school’s administrators. During her retirement Betty had relocated to Victoria and eventually to Delta to be nearer to relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Ed and is survived by her son Hugh and his wife Adrienne who reside in Williams Lake and their children Craig of Prince George and Yvonne Hauk of Williams Lake and their families. Betty’s later years were troubled by her struggles with COPD but enhanced by interests in reading, public affairs programs on television and her great grandchildren Paul and Tae Hauk.
