Dora passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by family.
She was born in LaGlace, AB. She spent 58 years raising her family in Lake Cowichan where she was an active member of the Elks O.O.R.P. for 35 years.
After moving to Duncan she became a member of the Duncan Royal Canadian Legion for 10 years. She continued to enjoy playing crib at the Senior Centre.
Predeceased by her husband Harry Nikiforuk of Lake Cowichan in 2005 and her sisters; Alfrieda Dickman of LaGlace, AB and Linda Kermath of Guelph, ON.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Allen (Joyce) Nikiforuk, Deb (Butch) Anderson of Duncan, BC, Rick (Gail) Nikiforuk of Tofino, BC, Pat (Tim) Wavrecan of Red Deer, AB, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters; Louise Dickman of Langley, BC, Elsie (John) Rempel of Kamloops, BC and Frieda (Ahti) Halonen of Red Deer, AB, brother Frank (Marg) Dickman of Parksville, BC and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Terlien, staff at C.D.H. and all her friends and family for their wonderful care and compassion.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
