Dave died unexpectedly in Tahsis. He was predeceased by his mother Raymonde in 1970 and his father Alex in 2004. Dave is survived by his partner Lana; his brother Rick Brubaker (Sherri); his sister Linda Andersson (Hakan); his step-mother Bernice Brubaker; his nieces and nephews Erik Andersson (Kim), Josh Brubaker (Nikky), Kristy Andersson (Adam) and Trina Brubaker (Boycie); a great nephew Nathan and great nieces Kaylen and Meadow. Dave enjoyed karate, sketching and woodworking. Dave was a very kind hearted and giving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He followed his own path in life, but always stayed in touch with the people he cared about. A Celebration of Life was held in Comox, December 30th, 2006.
