August 18, 1955 – December 31, 2009
On December 31st, at 3:25 p.m. Bonnie Louise Nicholson ended her battle with cancer, at home in Lake Cowichan, surrounded by her family and friends. Bonnie was born in Duncan, B.C. and raised in Youbou B.C. She was one of those rare people whom people were drawn to. She was fun-loving, loyal and thoroughly devoted to her family. Her home was the gathering place for family and friends and all were welcomed with open arms. Throughout her illness she showed a positive attitude and quiet strength that inspired us all. She had an amazing capacity for love and forgiveness.
Bonnie was predeceased by her father Ken Ross and her brother Gordon. She leaves behind her loving husband Ken, beloved children Shawn (Tracey), Corey (Leah) and Katrina. She also leaves behind her adored grandsons, Bailey, Jorden, Kalan and Zander. She also leaves her mother Louise Ross, brothers Darrell (Shannon), Don(Sherene) and Dennis (Trish), numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our lives. The family would like to send out a special thank you to Katrina Nicholson and Debbie Beldessi for taking such good care of her in her final weeks.
