Annie (Bubba) passed away peacefully April 20, 2010 in Duncan.
Annie was born November 3, 1926 in Goljak, Croatia. She leaves her two sons Rocky (Kathy) of Canberra, Australia, Tom (Cindy) of Lake Cowichan, six granddaughters, Brooke, Kelsey and Rylie of Australia and Nina, Mila and Heidi of Duncan. Annie was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, John, in April 2007.
Mom and Dad resided at the Lake since 1940s. Mom was an accomplished musician still playing her Tamburitza and was a proud member of the Catholic Church, Linedancers, Music Club and Kaatza Museum. Mom and Dad spent many happy times with the Nanaimo Gang and travelling to Croatia and Australia. Mom’s greatest love was friends and family, especially her granddaughters.
A Celebration of Mom’s life will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 11:00 am at St. Louis De Montfort Roman Catholic Church, 60 Fern Road Lake Cowichan. Private family internment to follow at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the very special staff at Cerwydden Care for all their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada or Kaatza Museum in Mom’s memory.
