An afternoon collision between two quads left two people injured, Saturday, March 19.

“Two quads actually hit head on at Kissinger Lake Road – east of the actual lake,” Lake Cowichan RCMP Cpl. Warren Potter said.

The driver of one of the quads received slight injuries to their wrist, while the passenger on the other quad received leg injuries.

With very poor cell phone service in the area of the incident, Potter said that it was lucky a local RCMP member spotted them while driving to Lake Cowichan from Nitinat. The member called the Emergency Health Services, who treated the two at the scene.

Charges may be pending, as a result of registration and insurance, Potter said.

Kissinger Lake is located just west of the western-most tip of Cowichan Lake.
