Lake Cowichan resident George Auger, with his daughter Bonnie Auger, celebrated his 99th birthday with family and friends at the Shaker Mill Restaurant Saturday afternoon. When asked what was the best thing about being 99 years old George replied, “The girls can all run faster than me now.” He is happy they will all finally catch up to him. George also said he's looking forward to turning 100.
