Dawn Coe-Jones, our hometown golf hero, has died of cancer at age 56.

Dawn Coe-Jones, our hometown golf hero, has died of cancer at age 56.

Coe-Jones was a three-time LPGA Tour winner, taking home the title in 1992, 1994 and 1995. She played competitively in the association from 1984 to 2008.

She got her start playing golf in Honeymoon Bay at the March Meadows Golf Club.

Dawn was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 2003.
