“We have to get the program up and running again,” local organizer Susan Lowe said. “It’s a program for people that want to eat healthy to afford to do so.”

The non-profit program is open to everyone, she added, with those involved receiving a box of fresh Vancouver Island fruit and vegetables every month, for $12.

Food arrives the third Monday of every month (May 16 of this month) at Cowichan Lake Community Services.

Those interested must pay in advance, at Community Services, by Friday, May 6.
