Music Club members met for the final time at the home of Gordon and Mikki Welsh, Friday, May 27.
In attendance were Judi Born, Susan Elsass, Loraine Gidlof, Lil Kerr, Rick and Lucy Vermiere, Mikki Welsh, and Carolyn Yablonski.
After 61 years, it was felt that Music Club should be dissolved.
We are getting small in number and there has not been any interest shown in joining, by people in the area.
Our one remaining charter member, Loraine Gidlof, and others in the club are actively involved in various musical activities in Lake Cowichan and Duncan.
Our Treasurer informed us we have five dollars and twenty three cents ($5.23) left and it was decided to give that amount to the "Music On the Lake."
The minutes, financial statements, programs and photographs will be sent to the local museum.
There was reminiscing about past memorable programs, a music DVD was shown and refreshments served.
