It’s becoming a tradition for the Lake Cowichan 50+ Centre to offer some kind of dance as Valentine’s Day draws near, and this year, organizers chose a Harlequin theme for the event.

Fancy masks, lots of stylish decorations, a great buffet, and music by the Lake Cowichan Tenors and Hey Mr. DJ meant the event drew a packed house.

It was also a fundraiser for Cowichan Women Against Violence and representatives from that group thanked the crowd for their help in funding CWAV’s youth outreach, a valuable program that at present is run by a single, hard-pressed worker.
