Cowichan Lake Community Services stepped up last week to clear away confusion about the Christmas Hampers situation.
According to the agency’s Facebook page, Community Services “has been receiving lots of inquiries and confusion regarding our Christmas Hamper Program and we thought we would try to clarify some of the questions.”
They broke down concerns with three simple answers.
1. Cowichan Lake Community Services coordinates the local Christmas Hampers program, which provides food and gifts to local families in December.
2. The Lake Cowichan Food Bank coordinates the Food Bank from January to November for local residents.
3. Toys, Toiletries and Toques are a Cowichan Valley organization which collects for five different agencies in the Valley, of which Cowichan Lake Community Services is one.
“Community Services gratefully accepts and is need of donations of money, food, toys, pet food and anything that will help make someone less fortunate this Christmas more cheerful. Donations can be dropped off at Community Services and angel trees are available at Palsson, LCS, LC Chiropractic, IDA Pharmacy, Fields, Curves and here at Community Services. Thank you to everyone for your generosity!”
Now you know, so get ready to join the Cowichan Lake effort to help the less fortunate this holiday season.
