Shawnigan Hills parkrun report for Oct. 30

Six of 19 record personal bests

Run number 28 took place on a glorious fall morning. Nineteen runners, including first-timer David Minkow, took part in the event, with six of the field recording personal best times: well done to Sandra Hunter, Joyce MacKay, Alice MacKay, Michele Caouette, Jordanna Haire and Claire Corbett.

Daryl Baswick was first home in 22:40, whilst regular Peter DeVries was second at 23:58 in his 29th parkrun, 23 of which have been at Shawnigan Hills.

Walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply come and watch — it is up to you. Be a part of the community, make new friends and socialize — we meet at Shawnigan Coffee House post-run after each event. It is a great way to start the weekend.

To register for parkrun, please go to https://www.parkrun.ca/register. Simply fill in your details and print off your unique barcode and you are good to go.

Next run: Saturday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.
