Shawnigan Hills parkrun report for Dec. 18

Nine participants brave the ice and snow

Event No. 35 was notable because of the challenging conditions due to overnight snow. Nine intrepid runners braved the snow and rain to complete the 5km event, albeit in slower than usual times, due to the adverse conditions.

Here are the results in completion:

1. Peter DeVries 25:42

2. Brian Zimmerman 31:34

3. Linda Mavin 31:34

4. Kimberly Broome 35:21

5. Kristin Herle 35:52

6. Carene Quigley 39:44

7. Linda Zimmerman 39:45

8. Michelle Laabs 42:15

9. Claire Curtis 42:18

Special thanks must go to Jeff and Kate Wright, and Daryl Baswick, who forewent taking part in order to volunteer.

Unfortunately, parkrun has had to go on hiatus until Jan. 15, so the Christmas Day event has been cancelled.
