Make it two for two over the weekend for the Lake Cowichan Kraken and overtime wins.

Led by team scoring leader and captain Sukhraj Narwal, the Lake Cowichan Kraken beat the Westshore Wolves 4-3 on Nov. 11 at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.

In front of a crowd of 208, the Kraken found themselves down 2-0 after the first period but bounced back in the second with Narwal getting his 13th of the year at 4:34, from Kyler Smith. Nine minutes later, Andrew White scored his second of the season from Aiden Eddy and Evan Vasarhely to pull the Kraken even at 2-2.

The teams traded goals in the third period — the Kraken’s from the stick of Rowan Zapisocki from Dallas Brown — to send it to overtime.

It took just five seconds of overtime for Lake Cowichan to earn the win. Narwal struck again to complete the comeback.

Goalie Brendon Wilson got the win in net for the Kraken.

It was the first of two OT wins on the weekend, and two wins between the pipes for Brendon Wilson.

On Sunday, Nov. 13 he and the Kraken hosted fellow expansion sophomores, the Port Alberni Bombers in a 5:30 p.m. game.

Without Narwal in the lineup, the Kraken leaned on Smith (2), Vasarhely, and Eddy, for goals during the second and third periods, and Anthony Wilson for the overtime winner.

In addition to his goal, Anthony Wilson led the way with assists in the game with two. Assists were also recorded by Brown, White, Richard Bergman, and Jacob Campbell.

Up next for the Kraken is a trip over the Malahat Nov. 18 to visit the Saanich Predators at George Pearkes Arena.
