The Lakers Bantam League team managed to turn things around, during the last period of a home exhibition game against Victoria, Saturday, February 19.

Despite local hockey player Tyler Hieta scoring the game's first goal during the first half of period one, the team ended up on the losing end of things for much of the remaining game. Victoria snuck in three subsequent unanswered goals by the end of the second period, leaving things at a bleak 3-1 deficit.

Despite the odds being stacked against them, the local Bantam Lakers shot back, dominating the final period, with goals by Brody Elzinga and a second goal of the game for Tyler Hieta tying the game 3-3.

The excitement didn't stop there. With the crowd in shock, a fourth goal was managed by Victoria, with just over four minutes left in the final period.

But, a few seconds later, Austin Tarodi scored a quick goal, tying the game at four goals apiece.

A fifth goal, with just under three minutes remaining in the game, was scored by Lucas Post.

Things got increasingly frantic in the final few minutes of the game, as they usually do during the close ones, but no further goals were scored, leaving the Lakers victorious.
