Rookie Kailie Lukan amassed nine touchdowns in two games last weekend as the Crew collected a pair of wins in the Cowichan Women’s Football League.

Lukan led the Crew to a 45-13 win over the Ravens on Friday night and a 38-7 victory over the Storm on Sunday. And the touchdowns don’t even tell the whole story as Lukan added a few converts, interceptions and sacks along the way. Abi Sullivan, Janelle Mould and Lauren Brandt also got on the scoresheet with majors over the weekend, and Lou Sullivan and Kate Collins collected converts.

It was a busy week for the CWFL with two games on Friday and a full slate of three on Sunday.

The other Friday night game saw Blue Steel beat the Wild 38-6. Sunday saw the Ravens bounce back from their loss to the Crew on Friday to beat Blue Steel, while the Law dismantled the Ruckers 53-18.

Megan Lee was dominant for the Ravens on Friday, with three touchdowns and seven sacks. Chelsea Strandlund led the way on Sunday with two touchdowns, while Lee and Rikki Wylie added one apiece. Kat Olsen and Jamie Aitchison had converts, and Lee also recorded a sack.

Annie Zurrer scored the Storm’s lone touchdown against the Crew on Sunday, with the extra point from Ashton Aumen. Vicky Harris added a sack and Aumen grabbed an interception.

The Law spread out their scoring on Sunday, getting points from Bryn Piper, Jaimie Olson, Rachel Streeter, Alyssa Burrows, Britnie Hearsey, Wendy Charles and Megan Newton, with two interceptions from Jazzy Charles and one from Nicki Flynn. The Ruckers replied with touchdowns from Jenna Bugden, Hannah McKevitt and Dani Robb.
