This season’s biggest rivalry has been between the two local Lakers Peewee League teams.

The two played an unexpected game, Sunday, February 27, thanks to a last minute cancellation by a visiting team.

The game came a day after the Lakers C1 team’s close game against Nanaimo.

Although the game ended 5-4 in Nanaimo’s favour, it was a tight game, with Lake Cowichan dominating the final period with three goals, in a last-ditch attempt of catching up to their competitors.

The game’s first three goals were scored by Parker Bergstrom, with the final scored by Cale Eddy.
