The publishers of the Cowichan Valley Citizen and Alberni Valley News have made a friendly wager on the upcoming series between the B.C. Hockey League teams from their respective communities.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals and Alberni Valley Bulldogs are preparing to square off in the first round of the playoffs this Friday, and David Van Deventer of the Citizen and Teresa Bird of the News will be watching the series closely.

The losing publisher will be required to pose for a photo with the captain of the winning team in the winning team’s jersey, and the photo will be published in both papers.
