The adult soccer season gets back in action this weekend with one game as the Cowichan Div. 2 women’s team plays host to Lakehill at the Sherman Road turf on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Cowichan sits ninth out of 10 teams in Div. 2, but the team’s play has taken a big step up in recent games. With eight points in the standings, Cowichan is just one point back of eighth-place Fernwood, with a game in hand.

Rachel Price represented Cowichan in the Lower Island Women’s Soccer Association Div. 2/3 all-star game in Victoria last weekend, and was named Team Teal’s MVP.

The O30A Cowichan Cougars have a bye this weekend, and visit Lakehill on Jan. 18.

The men’s teams are all off this weekend, with all-star festivities taking place in Port Moody. All five men’s teams have home games at Sherman Road the following weekend.
