Volume of music drove family from Duncan light-up

Our family looked so forward to the Duncan light up, but when we got there, the music was so loud we had to leave.

I cringed to think of all the babies, children and dogs whose ears were being assaulted by such high decibels, and who had no choice but to be subjected to the almost painful experience. Sounds over 85 dB are harmful, and I am guessing this was at least 120 dB.

The hearing aid companies will do a roaring trade in years to come, unless we teach our children, by example, how to look after their precious hearing.

I hope next year will be more moderate so that we can really enjoy this lovely experience.
