The Seniors’ Centre

A poem.

The Seniors’ Centre

The Seniors’ Centre; my second home!

Who thought it would ever be?

“No way!” I’d shout for all to hear.

And mean it in every way!

Socialize with those old sods!?

Believe this; I will not!

Then, I see two jiving ninety-year-olds.

And, you guessed it; I am caught!

The energy with which they dance;

has left me far behind.

At that time I was fifty-six.

A mere pup in their minds.

This big extended family; is very good, you see.

You only, need by, fifty to join!

So; accept this invite from me.

Drop in! Visit! And see!!!
