People still not wearing masks in stores

Nine months later and people are still debating the importance of masks. How long did people debate the idea that the world was not flat? Maybe insurance companies that sold insurance to those who might fall over the edge.

Two women came into the dollar store in Duncan where they have mandated mask wearing. I looked around and saw some with and some without. It was mostly those with. [The two women] did not have masks on. It’s pretty hard for two employees to try to regulate this.

They proceeded to fill up their cart with a lot of items. They conversed and shopped and talked over their cart full of stuff and proceeded to the checkout. They were two behind me in the line as I waited with my one item. When I was the third in line for checkout they decided to abandon their cart full of items that they had spewed their gossip on and left the building.

Now we have some employees that have to reshelve this stuff. It’s certainly a strange time when we get this trivial about habits and actions but the consequences are far from trivial. My wife told somebody today that they were supposed to be wearing a mask and their response was to “f-off. Folks, lets not think of this as an affront to our freedoms but as a path to being free again of this menace.
