P.C. brigade need to give their heads a shake over old song

Was thinking of buying one of my granddaughters the fairy tale, Snow off-coloured-female and the seven vertically challenged when I heard this, and the thought occurred that maybe the sad peon brained P.C. minority who object and take offence at everything have gone a tad too far. So, letting the dog see the rabbit and grabbing the bull by the horns I decided to put quill to parchment and comment.
Remember the album by Holly Cole who was singing to a male companion having a great deal of success. But now it is, what, sexist? It does not need to be sung female to male. It could be crooned female to female just as easily. Personally, I would not have any objections to a female plying me with alcoholic beverages and imploring me that “Baby, it’s cold outside.” Provided they don’t do it at Giraffes Bar & Grill. They hate it when I order a Highball.
It is time for the P.C. brigade to give their heads a shake, to sort what brains they have out, and to find more productive tasks. There must be more to life than to troll old songs, e-mails, book titles etc. Or, am I splitting hairs? No offence intended to those who’s cranium is challenged in that area.
Telus once used ‘I want a hippopotamus for Christmas’ in an advertisement. On the endangered species list? Oh no! Where will it end?
