Unscented products the way to go
Thank you A. Sherwood for your letter on Nov. 18 regarding perfumed laundry products.
The writer noted that scented dryer sheets off-load toxic chemicals into the air. I get an instant severe headache whenever I am near people who use those products, or even just walking down the street by a house that has their dryer going.
Before COVID times I avoided events where I could not change seats if someone using perfumed products sat nearby. If I did attend any gathering I always chose an aisle seat near an exit so I could flee if needed. When I backed away from someone it was considered rude. Now it is acceptable because it is “social distancing”. COVID precautions have given me a reprieve from those headaches.
Please be aware that what might smell “fresh” to one person is actually painful to some of us. Be considerate and purchase non-scented laundry products. Why do you want to wear perfumed clothing anyway?
