Thank you for supporting World Craft Bazaar

Thank you Cowichan Valley for your wonderful support for our live 2021 Fiesta World Craft Bazaar. It really was a special weekend! You took away an amazing array of handmade, ecofriendly, useful and beautiful gifts that will be a delight for you and yours and thousands of artisans around the world and here at home.

There will now be an eye clinic in the Himalayan mountains, 100 women in the Andes will continue to receive life saving wages, seniors in Guatemala will go on enjoying lunches and social times, women in Senegal will be able to receive needed wages for processing shea butter nuts, kids will go to school in Kenya and Tanzania and here in the Cowichan Valley the Métis Culture Society will have sold more of their amazing wild rice and Mindful Mouthful will have to make some more of those very tasty cookies.

These are only a few of the feel good stories that make Fiesta such a special win-win experience! If you sadly missed Fiesta live, please go online to fiestaworldcraftbazaar.org and you will find 23 vendors ready to show you their products and make you happy. We would be remiss if we didn’t recognize the generous part that Queen Margaret’s School in Duncan played in the success of Fiesta. They embraced our challenge of putting on a live fair trade global craft fair and for the second year provided generous support.

Fiesta benefits thousands of people around the world and it is exciting to see how the school and the community are coming together to make it happen. We are already looking forward to Fiesta 2022, and bringing the world to the Valley. If you would like to be a part of our team please call 250-218-3168. Wishing you peace and joy and sending a big global thank you from the Fiesta team.
