Superstore employee makes woman’s day

I was shopping in Superstore this afternoon. I bought just a few things and wanted to use my points. The cash amount I owed was $4 and change. I looked into my wallet and didn’t have any cash and was about to dig further for my credit card.

The cashier, Marie J. produced a $5 bill and said “do you want to use this?” I didn’t understand at first until I looked more carefully and realized she had taken the cash from her own wallet. I had dug out my debit card by this time but she uplifted my heart so high I wanted to run around the screen and hug her.

When the news is so filled with floods, opioid deaths, COVID and war here is a young woman so ready and willing to help a stranger. You are some woman, Marie J. I hope the Superstore recognizes your value.
