Right to demonstrate
I read with interest Ms. Sharon Jackson’s letter complaining about the lack of council control over a particular demonstration on the city streets.
Ms. Jackson should know we live in a country that has a constitution guaranteeing the right of freedom of speech. Free speech is not limited to only things to which she agrees but to all free speech written, spoken or demonstrated. Without our constitution we would be living under a totalitarian state and she would not be at liberty to write that letter to the editor.
