Help out those affected by COVID
COVID is nasty as we all know — I had it two years ago and then again caught it at the end of December this past year. This time I was in the ICU at Helmecken and then transferred to the Jubilee; in total I spend many hours on oxygen and the like (21 days!).
I am at home now at Shawnigan and I am putting in a request to all who read this to add more air to your fires, in the morning and daytime — so the people who have had their lungs attacked by the virus can go outside just to walk.
I was outside and one little waft of wind, no visible smoke, hit me and it felt like my lungs contracted 50 per cent or more. I heat my home with wood but can’t this winter in case the smoke from my 25 ft. chimney blows down into my yard.
You will only be burning a bit more wood and helping those who have been afflicted at the same time thanks a lot!
