Get on with reopening Allenby Road
When will Allenby Road be opened? It’s been closed for almost 18 months and we continue to get traffic jams along the Trans-Canada Highway. We only have two bridges across the Cowichan River and this road closure blocks access to one of them. Using Allenby Road would allow the residents of the hundreds of new homes in the Berkey’s Corner area to bypass the highway corridor and ease the congestion. Please get on with reopening this road before the summer driving season.
