Cowichan Valley in good medical hands

I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and other medical people in the Cowichan Valley for the wonderful care I received during my emergency visits to the Cowichan District Hospital, the Duncan Family Care Clinic, the Life Lab, the ultrasound department at the hospital, and the Cowichan Medical Clinic.

Everywhere I was treated with kindness, care and amazing efficiency. The time between the initial gall bladder emergency attack and the surgery was amazingly quick. I was also very impressed with how quickly and efficiently the information, appointments, and test results travelled among the emergency department, the doctors, the labs, the ultrasound, the hospital and ultimately to me.

I would particularly like to thank Dr. Carole Williams, Dr. Saettler, and Dr. Ritter for their kindness and care during this time, and also for the information I was given regarding total care, the procedure, and expected outcomes during what was for me a very stressful time.

This is how the Canadian Medical Services should work, and I’m so pleased that in my case it did. The Cowichan Valley is in good hands.
