Anti-vaxxers should not be allowed to protest on city property
I was appalled recently to see a crowd of people holding red balloons and placards in City Square protesting masking and vaccines. I beg council to stop them from doing this. This is more than right to assemble and protest. It is about stopping the spread of a dangerous virus. My aunt recently died of it. A friend of mine died of it. This is no joke.
The uninformed and ill informed should not be free to spread their dangerous misinformation. There are all sorts of times when protesting makes sense. This is not one of those.
Please, council, stand up and take action on behalf of the larger community and forbid these people from protesting on public property.
