If I was a franchise owner…

Joe, thank you for continuing to stand firm with your opinion. Nothing makes me happier than when your own words are the validation to my position.

I will not bother to address every one of your fallacious statements because I do not want to continue to repeat myself. I will however respond to the big one.

If I were a franchise or business owner, I would still criticize your knowledge of retail. If I, as retail manager, could not attract enough staff to meet even minimum staffing levels (which many of them cannot) and was losing profits because customers were finding alternatives to long lines and poor customer service by moving to online and boutique shopping instead, I would not be cutting staff because of a minimum wage increase. I would increase hours; increase pay and focus on earning my customers’ loyalty by showing loyalty to my staff. I would want to make it abundantly clear to customers and staff alike that I do not run a minimum business. If I were a franchise owner and could not make a profit without exploiting my workers, I would rethink the value of my franchise partnership.

What I would not be doing is agreeing with one single word you said Joe.
