Idling cars, lawnmowers, weed whackers and other noise pollution

My plea, comment and question is directed at those individuals who do not work but occupy and own homes. You may be retired or you may be off for the summer or you just may not have to work at all, good on you. It would seem you have much time to mow your lawn and whack your weeds during the Monday to Friday time periods when the majority (not all) of people work.

Can you not mow your lawns and whack your weeds during the Monday to Friday period when the majority of us are at work and stop doing in on Saturday and Sunday when the majority of us workers are resting and recouping? It is very inconsiderate.

This is not directed at people who do work and only have weekends to do these things, that is understandable. There would be considerably less noise pollution on weekends if we could all balance the noise during the week. Please give this some conscious thought.

Also, idling vehicles and loud boombox stereos in cars should be ticketed, this is noisy, smelly, and not environmentally sensitive.
