Governments contradict themselves on going green

Re: global warming

I find the issue of going green a contradiction of what our government is putting forth on going green. As far as I’m concerned they are talking out of both sides of their faces; it’s about money.

We’re almost being pushed into buying electric or hybrid cars, but the government are not stopping the extraction of coal/oil/forestry products being mined, milled, etc. Therefore, they’re collecting from both sides, in my opinion.

I would be interested in knowing how many other countries are involved in going green. Obviously China isn’t, as on the news the other day it showed they are emitting toxic products into the atmosphere to this day. What aobut all the wars in the world, what effect is that having?

P.S. I know not everyone feels the way I do about it.
